Teachers / Organizers

Gustavo Fernandez has been dancing tango socially since the year 2000, when he started in his native Argentina, learning from teachers such as Veronica Gai, Daniel Nacucchio, Lucas Galera, Fabian Peralta, Carolina del Rivero and Fabian Salas, among others.  Gustavo is a software developer at UConn and an alumnus of the Hartt School of Music, where he earned his Master of Music degree in Classical Guitar under the tutelage of Richard Provost.

Gustavo is an active social dancer and has taught tango lessons for the Ministry of Tourism in his native Mendoza, Argentina, as well as for the Community Division of the Hartt School and Yale.   He believes in an approach that combines respect and knowledge of traditional forms but also appreciation for modern techniques that move tango forward into the future.  Gustavo is also a music producer and has created some original electronic tango for dancing under the name Gustavo Noli.  Check out his music here:
